10 g sediment samples were heated at 55°C for 6 min, then suspended in 100 ml sterile aged seawater and stirred for 30 min. The liquid was plated on inorganic salts/starch [International Streptomyces Project (ISP) 4] using a tenfold dilution series methodand incubated at 28°C for 7 days. |
