The surfaces of the root nodules were sterilized by immersing them in 95 % ethanol and 0.2 % HgCl 2 and rinsing them six times with distilled water, as described previously. Next, the surface-sterilized nodules were crushed and streaked on a yeast-mannitol agar (YMA) medium. |
