Isolation/enrichment procedure |
The human epidermal keratinocytes sampled had a pH of 6.5 and a total aerobic microbial cell count of 6.4 x 10^3 c.f.u. ml-1. For isolation, serially diluted human epidermal keratinocyte samples were spread onto the following solid media (all from Difco): nutrient, R2A, ISP 2 and trypticase soy agars. The plates were incubated at 28°C for 3 days, after which single colonies were formed on R2A plates. |
