Blastococcus endophyticus DSM 45413 is an aerobe, mesophilic, Gram-positive bacterium that has a white to pink to black pigmentation and was isolated from surface sterilized, healthy leaves of the traditional Chinese medicinal plant Camptotheca acuminata.
