Isolation/enrichment procedure |
heat exchanger aluminium fins were collected from an air-conditioning system of a motor car that was inoperation in South Korea. The aluminium fins were strongly mixed with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS; 137 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na2HPO4 , 2 mM KH2PO4, pH 7.2) for 10 min and then the resuspended solution was serially diluted with PBS. The aliquots of each serial dilution were spread on R2A agar (BD) and incubated aerobically at 25°C for 7 days. |
