Halomonas garicola JJ-M1 is a facultative aerobe, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that forms circular colonies and was isolated from Saeu-jeot, a Korean salted and fermented shrimp sauce; sample obtained after 81 days of fermentation.
