We are happy to announce that a new BacDive release is now online. In this release we have updated, corrected and added information on strains available in the Jena Microbial Resource Collection (JMRC). These can now also be viewed in a new Special Collection: JMRC. BacteriaNet genome-based predictions were updated. They could be calculated for 18,640 strains using a GenomeNet model trained with the deepG package in R with newly calibrated confidence scores. 41,128 predictions for Gram stain behavior, motility, oxygen tolerance and spore formation with confidence values of at least 90% could be fully integrated into the strain data and can now be seen in the respective sections marked with the AI icon. BacDive now also links to EnteroBase, where overlaps between the two databases exist.
