BacDive offers two (RESTful) web services for retrieving contents of BacDive and the taxon reference list Prokaryotic Nomenclature Up-To-Date (PNU) in a machine-readable form. Both web services are free to use, but you have to register first (separately for each web service). After an authorization of the registration you get full access. The web services can be retrieved in machine-readable XML and JSON format.
